TE ARA TIKA
Our programme supports whānau affected by family violence with a wraparound approach that uplifts, empowers, and restores. We walk alongside individuals and whānau on their journey toward healing, safety, and wellbeing.
We understand the impact family violence can have on the whole whānau. Our focus is on restoring mana, strengthening identity, and helping individuals fill their kete with the tools they need for long-term change.

Counselling
Our counselling service offers a safe, supportive, and culturally respectful space for whānau to explore ways of improving relationships and addressing harmful behaviours. We work alongside those who recognise the need for change and are committed to growing and healing, particularly those who want to address family violence.
Through this process, we help individuals build their kete with valuable tools and insights, helping them connect with their own strengths, tikanga, and ways of expressing emotions that support healthier relationships.
Our aim is to guide and support, helping people take the steps needed to create positive change and strengthen whānau.

Mirimiri
Mirimiri is a traditional Māori healing practice that focuses on releasing physical and emotional tension, promoting wellbeing, and supporting the healing of trauma. In the context of family violence, Mirimiri offers a safe and nurturing space for those affected to begin their journey towards recovery.
Through gentle, therapeutic touch, Mirimiri helps to release deep-seated stress, pain, and trauma that can build up over time. This practice encourages relaxation, restores energy flow, and nurtures both the body and the mind, enabling individuals to reconnect with their own strength and mana.
For those who have experienced or been affected by family violence, Mirimiri can be a powerful tool to support healing and emotional release, while also promoting balance and harmony in the body. It’s about creating a space for whānau to heal in a culturally grounded, non-judgmental environment where they can feel safe and supported.

Whakapakari Tinana
Our gym isn’t just about building muscles – it’s a space to release stress, clear the mind, and restore balance.
Physical activity is a powerful way to shift heavy energy, let go of tension, and reconnect with your body in a positive, uplifting way.
For those working through family violence – whether in counselling, Mirimiri, or other healing spaces – the gym can be another tool in your kete. It’s a place to move through anger safely, release trauma stored in the body, and build strength not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too.
Exercise can help with focus, sleep, mood, and confidence. More importantly, it’s a step toward looking after yourself and those you care about.
