RANGATAHI
We’re proud to walk alongside our rangatahi through a range of kaupapa designed to build resilience, confidence, and a strong sense of identity. Whether it’s through mentoring, setting goals, training in the gym, or taking part in holiday programmes, we create safe, supportive spaces where young people—especially those at risk of poor outcomes—can grow and thrive.
A big part of our mahi includes strengthening cultural identity through kapa haka and connection to tikanga Māori, helping rangatahi stand tall in who they are. It’s about creating a foundation of hauora, purpose, and belonging—so our young people can step into their futures with pride, strength, and support behind them.

At Uruuruwhenua, we’re proud to work alongside tamariki who are facing challenges, offering tautoko through mentoring, life skills, and positive guidance. Our kaupapa is grounded in Te Whare Tapa Whā, supporting the wellbeing of each tamaiti across all four walls – tinana (physical), wairua (spiritual), hinengaro (mental/emotional), and whānau (family/social).
Through one-on-one mentoring, group activities, and practical tools for coping, we help tamariki build resilience, confidence, and stronger connections – with themselves, their whānau, and their future. Every small step counts, and we’re here for the journey.
