KAUMATUA
Our work with kaumātua is guided by aroha, manaakitanga, and deep respect for their wisdom, experiences, and contribution to whānau and hapori. We provide support that is dignified, culturally safe, and responsive to the needs and aspirations of our pakeke.Whether it's hauora checks, social connection, advocacy, or simply a safe space to be heard, our kaupapa is about upholding the mana of our kaumātua and ensuring they continue to live with strength, dignity, and purpose.Through regular outreach, whakawhanaungatanga, and tailored support, we walk alongside our elders—learning from them, caring for them, and ensuring their wellbeing remains a priority.
Taurite Tu
Taurite Tū is a movement programme designed to support balance – in tinana (body), hinengaro (mind), and wairua (spirit). Rooted in tikanga and mātauranga Māori, Taurite Tū uses gentle movement, breathwork, and cultural connection to help restore mauri, reduce stress, and improve overall wellbeing.
Whether you're recovering from injury, living with long-term conditions, or looking to reconnect with your hauora, Taurite Tū offers a safe, inclusive space to move, breathe, and build strength from within.
Benefits include:
-
Improved balance, mobility, and posture
-
Reduced stress and tension
-
Greater emotional resilience and clarity
-
Connection to whakapapa and mātauranga Māori
Followed by kai and a kōrero, come along on Thursdays 12pm - 2pm at Alexandra and Tuesday 11am - 1pm in Tāhuna.
