The Waka Ama boats are named ‘Sweet Koura’ and ‘Tuna Kuwharuwharu’

‘Sweet Koura’ is named after Whaea Francie and Peter Divers Koura farm in Alexandra

‘Tuna Kuwharuwharu’ is named off the long-finned eel who was caught in the dam when it was created.

Waka fit, Haka fit is a program designed for our rangatahi paddlers who paddle in the Summer and join in other fitness classes in the Winter. Waka fit, Haka fit is sponsored by Te Puni Kokori for the 13 -24-year group.
