Pou Tangata – Manager of people and service
30 – 40 hours per week (negotiable)
Supporting the CEO and team to ensure our organisation meets the needs of our community.
Managing the people and processes of the organisation to ensure Uruuruwhenua Hauora are delivering quality services to our community.
Aspects of the role include:
- HR support
- Team Management
- Policy and Process implementation
- Gathering Whānau voice, researching the needs of our community
- Representation at meetings
- Administration Support
- Contractor Management
- Health and Safety administration
We are looking for someone with strong administration skills, leadership, and communication skills, with preference given to someone who understands the challenges of not-for-profit organisations and rural communities.

Health Promotion Specialist /Community Health Worker
20 – 40 hours per week (negotiable)
Central Otago and Wanaka
Join our Mauri Ora team and work hard to ensure everyone has access to healthcare services in our community.
As our Health Promotion Specialist, you will look for opportunities to promote all aspects of health under the Te Whare Tapa Wha model of wellbeing, including immunisation, health screening initiatives, mental wellbeing, and promoting the services available in our community.
Kaiāwhina Hauora will support our Hauora Manager to coordinate and facilitate our health clinics and health related Wananga.
You will walk alongside Whānau on their healthcare journey by supporting whānau to create their own personalised health plan, and to set and reach their hauora goals.
Support māmā, pēpi and Whānau from conception to 5 years, helping navigate healthcare, education, and hauora goals.
We have two roles available, one in Central Otago based in Alexandra, and one to be based in Wanaka/Hawea.

This role requires the successful applicant to acquire Health and Wellbeing Certificate Level 3 or 4. Uruuruwhenua are willing to support the successful applicant towards further career progression in the health and wellbeing sector.
