Kaiāwhina Hauora

Health Promotion Specialist /Community Health Worker

20 – 40 hours per week (negotiable)

Join our Mauri Ora team and work hard to ensure everyone has access to healthcare services in our community.

As our Health Promotion Specialist, you will look for opportunities to promote all aspects of health under the Te Whare Tapa Wha model of wellbeing, including immunisation, health screening initiatives, mental wellbeing, and promoting the services available in our community.

Kaiāwhina Hauora will support our Hauora Manager to coordinate and facilitate our health clinics and health related Wananga.

You will walk alongside Whānau on their healthcare journey by supporting whānau to create their own personalised health plan, and to set and reach their hauora goals.

Support māmā, pēpi and Whānau from conception to 5 years, helping navigate healthcare, education, and hauora goals.

The role to be based in Wanaka/Hawea.

This role requires the successful applicant to acquire Health and Wellbeing Certificate Level 3 or 4.  Uruuruwhenua are willing to support the successful applicant towards further career progression in the health and wellbeing sector.
